The second ECToday/Kowie Boerewors Championships, to be held on National Braai Day, on Saturday, September 24, which is also Heritage Day, will see the respective butchers in the Ndlambe area battling it out to be crowned the undoubted king of the boerewors makers in this area.
Not many individuals make real, original boerewors these days, hence the organisers' decision to let the local retail butchers compete against each other to develop a unique boerewors to the Kowie.
